International law firm seeks experienced Commercial Litigator (Special Counsel), Sydney
- Unique mix of commercial and employment disputes work
- International law firm with a global reach
- Genuine partnership prospects for the right person
Our client is a highly reputable international law firm with a global reach and a great firm wide culture. It has experienced consistent year on year growth across Australia and is continuing to make its mark in the market. With a busy disputes practice, they are now looking to add an experienced Commercial Litigator to the team.
Working directly with a pre-eminent partner, who is wonderful work, and with the support of a stable, happy team of lawyers, you will be confident to run large, complex commercial litigation, including in relation to misleading and deceptive conduct, the Corporation Act, governance disputes and insolvency, as well as restraint of trade issues, OHS prosecutions and disputes in relation to workplace relations, with appearance work in all courts, including the Supreme and Federal courts!
You will be an experienced commercial litigator with at least 10 years’ PQE acting for large corporates in private practice and/or at the Bar. Perhaps you are feeling stuck in a large team with nowhere to go, or it could be you are a barrister looking to return to private practice?
While a global firm with an extensive network to draw on, its offices are smaller in Australia, so it has a friendly, down to earth culture, where you will be recognised and rewarded for the work you do, and won’t get lost. There is growth in this team and a gap at this level, so as well as a competitive salary and all the benefits and opportunities that come with working at a large international law firm, there is a genuine path to partnership for the right person!
