An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Associate Lawyer with 2–4 years PQE to join a highly regarded Liability team based in Perth. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced partners and lawyers on a wide variety of insurance and liability matters. You will gain exposure to shipping, marine, property, aviation, and commercial disputes, acting for a diverse client base that includes insurers, government entities, transport companies, airlines, and construction firms.
This role is amazingly diverse – you will be responsible for drafting legal documents, pleadings and advice, undertaking legal research and case law analysis, and reviewing documents and evidence to identify key issues. You will also liaise with clients, counsel and stakeholders, support litigation and arbitration proceedings, and contribute to advisory and transactional work.
We are seeking candidates 2–4 years’ PQE gained in a highly reputable law firm, ideally with some exposure to insurance, liability, or related commercial litigation. Strong drafting skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Experience in marine, aviation, transportation or property damage matters, or exposure to international insurance markets, will be highly regarded but is not essential.
