Are you a skilled Public, Administrative or Government lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? We’re partnering with a leading national firm to recruit a talented lawyer with specialised experience in high-impact government advisory and review work.

About the Opportunity
You’ll join a respected practice advising major government agencies on complex and sensitive matters. This role will see you working across a diverse range of files, with genuine opportunities to deepen your expertise, collaborate with senior stakeholders and meaningfully influence public outcomes.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

– NDIA / NDIS matters – including administrative law, merits review work and complex decision-making support.

– Department of Home Affairs – migration, merits review, statutory interpretation or related administrative law matters.

– SO52 matters for NSW Police – including statutory compliance, evidence collation and advisory work relating to Standing Order 52 requests.

What You’ll Bring

– 2–7 years’ PQE in public, government, administrative or regulatory law.

– Strong understanding of administrative decision-making, procedural fairness and the ADJR/merits review framework.

– Excellent written advocacy and advisory drafting skills.

– Confidence managing multiple matters and working directly with government stakeholders.

– A proactive, collaborative mindset and interest in working on issues with real public impact.
